PLAYING WITH PAPER!

I have been having the best time making some utensil holders and cannisters for the kitchen. Ever since I saw these items in Mercedes Shabby house and Sylvia's creations I wanted one so bad!!! I managed to make a few. Years ago my Mother and I shared a space in an Antique co-op. The woman who had a space next to us was married to a French man and went to Paris all of the time. She always brought back enameled  cannisters, salt boxes and utensil holders.........I loved them!!! Now, I finally have one in miniature!!! It comes at a perfect time to figure out how to make these because I am joining in on my first group swap and the theme is for the "kitchen". (Hopefully there isn't anyone that is participating reading this.....I would hate to ruin the surprise.)  Now, I only have about 11 more to make!!! I should be a pro by the time I have finished! LOL
Tomorrow is the first day of my Rik Pierce workshop!!!!! I am very excited!!!
Have a great weekend!!

  2. Oh Patty, they look so much like real enamel they're just fantastic! Isn't it fun! I made some paper things for a friend. They are on my blog...somewhere.

WHAT??? You're going to a Rik Pierce workshop! I am seriously jealous!!!! Why do I have to live in the arm pit of the USA? I couldn't even buy a quilling needle here the other day.

Seriously...How wonderful I can't wait to see which one of Rik's projects you will be working on. You already are so skilled working with clay the paper clay will be a breeze for you.
